So I very nearly lost both my brother and my dog the other day. Or so I thought, anyway.

My brother had been walking the dog in my grandparents' fenced-off back yard. The dog was off leash, so she could run around and, with amazing fervor, bark at the neighbor's dogs for hours. The fence was sort of suspect, and my dog is notoriously clever, so when the barking sort of tapered off, and my brother was nowhere to be found, I, along with the rest of my family, started to worry. I checked the backyard and the basement thoroughly, and called for him and the dog several times. My mom and I went out on foot to look for him, checking the housinig development nearby where we suspected the dog might run to if she escaped. My dad, in the mean time, drove around the neighborhood, him being the most familiar with the area, since he grew up there. My mom and I walked for a good while, perhaps covering 3 miles or so. We went back to the house to pick up a cell phone, and see whether my dad had gotten back yet. When we opened the door, we heard, of course, a dog barking, and saw my brother, Hamilton. As it happens, he came in through the basement, which was unexpected, and after having sat down there for a while, came back upstairs and went into his room with the dog. At that point, I went downstairs looking for him. I came back up and called for him, but apparently, he was working so intently on a puzzle my other brother, Miles, had recieved for his birthday, that he couldn't hear me at all.

They have peach motherfucking Nehi now. And luckily, I'm in the south where I can actually find it, along with Stewarts, and iced tea that's actually good.

I got third place in a contest and Shmorky made this for me:

The contest was to write a storyline for a blank comic, which basically entails doing whatever to an image to make it funny. The original:

The gigantic edited version:

And a less gigantic SWF:
http://ed.dorksnet.org/yoshi.swf
